Calcot Manor is one of the most highly-acclaimed of today’s new breed of British country hotels. A former English farmhouse set around a pretty courtyard of lime trees and ancient stone barns and stables (dating back to the 14th century), Calcot is cuddled by beautiful gardens and its own 220 acre-estate, three miles west of the quiet Cotswold market town of Tetbury in Gloucestershire. The key to Calcot’s success is its clever mix of the friendliest hospitality with sophisticated know-how, in an informal and warm fashion. With easy access from the M4 and M5 motorways, Calcot provides outstanding facilities for dining, leisure and business, alongside 35 delightfully plush bedrooms.

The Conservatory Restaurant
The Conservatory is Calcot’s fine dining restaurant - a fresh, light and elegant destination for lunch and dinner, open daily, with lovely views across the neighbouring countryside. The room is calm, spacious and chic, yet entirely relaxed and informal too. Executive Chef Director Michael Croft focuses on the freshest local produce, beautifully cooked, while his new wood-fired oven means that dishes are simply bursting with Mediterranean colour and flavour. The adjoining private dining room provides a perfect venue for select dinner parties and celebrations.
The Gumstool Inn
The Gumstool is Calcot’s popular, well-established “traditional country pub”. Alongside the excellent choice of ales and wines, the food is top-notch gastropub quality - no surprise, as it’s cooked in the same kitchen as its “big sister”, The Conservatory, under Chef-Director Michael Croft’s meticulous eye. For warmer days, there is a pretty sun terrace outside, while darker winter evenings are warmed with cosy log fires and a seductively tasty menu.
Bedrooms:
There are 35 bedrooms and suites at Calcot – all with luxurious en-suite bathrooms. In keeping with an historic medieval manor, each bedroom is different from the next - imaginatively decorated, supremely comfortable and with delightful little touches which tell you that people here really care. The majority are clustered around the flower-filled courtyard, including the ten specially-dedicated family rooms that have been thoughtfully housed in a converted old barn. The original farmhouse itself is home to twelve bedrooms, ideal for couples on their own.
Facilities:
Spa
Calcot Spa is a magnificent private leisure complex, with outstanding facilities for health, beauty, fitness and relaxation. Imaginatively designed around a central courtyard, Calcot Spa blends sympathetically with its Cotswold surroundings and features a 16-metre pool, sauna, steamroom, outdoor spa pool, exercise studio, tennis and no fewer than seven treatment rooms. Use of the Spa is restricted to private members and hotel guests, but we also offer a choice of Day Spas for non-members.
