Built in 1883, South Lodge exudes the feel of a family home. Amongst the 93 acres of parkland are 260 varieties of Rhododendrons, Camellias and Azaleas which, when in bloom, present a magnificent sea of colour.

The Camellia Restaurant
The finest of dining! Our 3 AA Rosette Camellia Restaurant offers stunning views over the undulating hills of the South Downs and is an ideal setting for a lunchtime gathering, family celebration or a romantic candlelit dinner for two.

There are 41 exquisitely furnished luxurious rooms, some with romantic four posters, others with bubbling Jacuzzis, and wherever you turn, stunning views over the South Downs.
All the gorgeous beds each have divinely comfortable handmade mattresses and breathable hand-finished duvets. Each room also has a pillow menu so you can choose the type of pillow to suit you and the way you sleep! And lastly, before you turn in, we make sure we place a weather forecast for the following day in your room so you can plan your day in advance and with confidence.

The family home of John Christie, Glyndebourne near Lewes, has hosted an annual opera festival since 1934. Glyndebourne is most famous for its productions of Mozart operas.
Polo at Knepp Castle Estate
Knepp Castle Estate, West Grinstead a 3,500-acre estate, which has been owned by the Burrell’s for over 200 years. At its heart, overlooking Knepp Lake, is a castle built by the architect John Nash, which remains the family home. The Estate has a thriving Polo Club with a regular informal chukka during the week and tournaments and events throughout the summer.
The Goodwood Estate
Set in 12,000 acres of rolling Sussex Downland, Goodwood has long been famous for it natural beauty and its legendary horse and car racing events.

Petworth House & Park
